INITIAL CONSULTATION

The initial consult is for new clients. It involves a case history, assessment and examination/testing. Followed by treatment (manual therapy and rehabilitation).

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports massage is designed for those who undertake in regular training this treatment approach looks to aid their recovery, reduce muscle soreness/fatigue and improve joint range of motion.

CORRECTIVE MASSAGE

A corrective massage is a more specific form of healing tailored treatment which affects the whole body. This treatment works to heal the problem in your body.


It can be an acute injury which has just taken place (sprain, strain, back, neck, shoulder pain etc). Or it can be long lasting chronic injury such as headaches and constant muscle pain.


A range of treatment options pending the type of trauma are available such as deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release, active release, PNF/MET stretching.

DRY NEEDLING

Dry needling is a treatment approach using acupuncture needles inserted into muscles to deactivate trigger points (knots). These trigger points are a major cause of dysfunction in the body, by releasing these the pain pathway can relax, reduce pain and return to normal function.

 

Needling is a very useful treatment in combination with other treatments it typically sees results in a very quick turnaround.

MYOFASCIAL CUPPING

Myofascial cupping is a soft tissue therapy that involves the application of decompressed cups on the skin, creating a vacuum effect that lifts up underlying tissues such as the fascia ( connective tissue ) and muscles, blood and other fluid, close to the surface of the skin. Myofascial cupping is typically applied on back, shoulder, neck, sacrum, hip, abdomen, legs and arms.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY

Trigger point therapy is a deep tissue massage technique where the therapist will apply pressure to a knot (trigger point) which assists in releasing this knot to reduce pain and improve the joint mobility.


Trigger point therapy is extremely safe and effective it can treat issues such as shoulder injury, muscle strains, headaches, neck pain, muscle tightness and general muscle pain.

Exercise rehab

EXERCISE REHAB

Exercise rehabilitation uses specific movements to improve an injured site in the body. It is very precise when it comes to prescribing these exercises.


This combination therapy can be argued as the most important for facilitating long sustainable change to someone’s pain or dysfunction.
